Droupadi Murmu took pledge as the 15th President of India on July 25, 2022. The Chief Justice of India, NV Ramana administered the pledge of office of President in the Central Hall of Parliament.

He added saying," In her address after taking pledge, President Droupadi Murmu ji gave a communication of stopgap and compassion. She emphasized on India's accomplishments and introduce a futuristic vision of the path ahead at a time when India is marking Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav," he added.
The 64- time-old defeated opposition's seeker Yashwant Sinha to come the alternate woman to hold the top indigenous post. Droupadi Murmu won,824 votes whose electoral value is, while Yashwant Sinha got,877 votes of electoral value of.
