About Vidyadeep yojna
Vidhyadeep Scheme launched by Ministry of Women and Child Development, Government of Gujarat. An insurance scheme aims to provide financial assistance to the guardians whose children have died. Vidhyadeep Scheme has introduced in memory of the students died in the earthquake on 26th January 2001. The scheme provides protection of round the clock insurance to the students studying in the Government Primary School, Grant-in-aid primary school, Ashram School, Secondary and Higher Secondary School. Under this scheme Parents or Guardian are provided the amount of Rs. 50,000 as a benefit of the scheme. The premium of this scheme is paid by the Government. Every student studying in the school or college may avail the benefit of this scheme. To get benefits of scheme parents or guardian can contact to nearest Department of Education or Principal of school or college.
About KGBV Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya
The Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya or KGBV is a residential girls’ secondary school run by Government of India for the weaker sections in IndiaIt was a scheme was introduced by the Government of India in August 2004, then integrated in the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan program, to provide educational facilities for girls belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes, minority communities and families below the poverty line in Educationally Backward Blocks
Gender disparities still persist in rural areas and among disadvantaged communities. Looking at enrolment trends, there remain significant gaps in the enrollment of girls at the elementary level as compared to boys, especially at the upper primary levels. The objective of KGBV is to ensure that quality education is feasible and accessible to the girls of disadvantaged groups of society by setting up residential schools with boarding facilities at elementary level

Transport and escort is one of the intervention provided to children in remote habitation withsparse population or in urban areas where availability of land is a problem and so opening of new
school is not viable. Provision of transport and escort facilities helps the children of the school less
habitation to access neighborhood school. Transport and escort facility is adapted to facilitate schooling access for children in the context of RTE Act 2009. This ensures that all children are in school even inremote, difficult hilly terrains, dangerous forest areas lacking motorable roads and public transport facilities.
