Big news for employees regarding DA, the decision on inflation allowance will now be taken on this day

Big news for employees regarding DA, the decision on inflation allowance will now be taken on this day: Shiv Gopal Mishra says it will not affect the matrix on the 7th CPC of central employees. This is because the central government has already frozen the DA, DR of employees and pensioners till June 2021.

The announcement of additional 2021 Inflation Allowance (DA) may be too late. According to the National Council-JCM-Staff Side, the central government may announce additional DA to central employees in June. However, JCM officials said that the increase in DA for central employees would be at least 4 per cent of the basic salary.

Will there be an increase in DA too late?
Explaining the reason behind the delay in the January 1, 2021 DA hike, Staff Side Secretary Shiva Gopal Mishra said, "We are in touch with the Expenditure Department and the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) officials of the Finance Ministry." He says the second wave of the Corona virus epidemic has ruined the entire central government's plan. That’s why everything has slipped forward a month. The DA additional announcement that was supposed to be made by the end of April or mid-May has now slipped to June.

The suspended DA will begin July 1
Shiv Gopal Mishra says it will not affect the matrix on the 7th CPC of central employees. This is because the central government has already frozen the DA, DR of employees and pensioners till June 2021. In the Rajya Sabha in March 2021, Minister of State for Finance Anurag Thakur said that the DA, DR increase would be resumed from July 1. That is why if the DA increase of January 1, 2021 is also announced today, then it will start from July 1, 2021.

How much will increase DA
Asked how much extra is expected in the DA, Shiva Gopal Mishra said that according to the DA's additional calculations, the average inflation for July-December 2020 has been around 3.5 per cent, which means that the inflation allowance for central employees will increase by around 4 per cent.

3 What will happen to the pending DA
Regarding the three pending DA installments, Shiva Gopal Mishra said, "We are in touch with the central government officials regarding them." And we will sit down and resolve this issue soon. The good news is that the government is not against paying the arrears of DA. We have proposed to the government that if it is not able to give the remaining three installments of DA to the employees together, it can also give them dividends.
