Bank account, ATM Card Charge New Policy

Bank account, ATM Card Charge New Policy

One thing is clear, the
government is now doing a lot of work together to tackle the Koro crisis. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitaram has taken many steps to provide relief to the poor as well as the common people.
People are in their own homes. The government is making every effort to meet their economic needs. You should really know about these benefits offered by the bank.
No charge for withdrawing money from any bank ATM for three months
By June 30, 2020, no charge will be levied for withdrawing money from any bank’s debit card from any bank’s ATM. The government has taken this step for the convenience of the people. The government aims to ensure that people do not have to travel far from their homes to withdraw cash and can withdraw money from nearby ATMs.
According to the rules issued by the RBI for normal days other than this, banks are allowed to do at least five transactions a month for free.
At least there is no need to keep a balance
The minimum balance for a savings bank account has been canceled. That means there is also no need to maintain a minimum balance in a bank account until June 30, 2020. State Bank of India (SBI) has given a big gift to its millions of customers.
SBI has met the requirement of Average Monthly Balance (AMB) on all types of savings accounts.
This means that the hassle of keeping a minimum balance in the customer’s account is over. 44.51 crore customers will benefit from SBI’s decision.
In another important decision, SBI has slashed its interest rate on savings bank accounts to 32 per cent per annum.
Online transactions are free
Government bank PNB has completely abolished IMPS charges on transactions made through internet banking and mobile banking.
Punjab National Bank has given this information. The PNB said the decision to abolish the IMPS charge altogether had immediate effect.
Punjab National Bank customers will now have to pay no charge till they transfer Rs 50,000 per day after this decision. Earlier, IMPS charges were Rs 5 + GST.
Earlier last year, State Bank of India had also announced that it would not charge any fees for IMPS transfers made through Yono application, mobile banking and internet banking. SBI implemented it from 1 August 2019.
