Government's big announcement: 'Maa-Amrutam Vatsalya' card can also be withdrawn from government hospitals, individual card will now be given instead of one card per family

The government will now issue individual cards per family to Maa card beneficiaries.

If there are five persons in the beneficiary's family, five cards will be issued instead of one.

New cards were issued in government hospitals, community and primary health centers.

People are getting cheaper treatment through Maa Card to treat patients in the Corona era. In addition, the state health department yesterday decided to extend the Maa card till July 31 in view of the transition situation and the difficulty in collecting income samples. The process of making new Maa cards in government hospitals has now started. So that all the beneficiaries can avail the benefits of this scheme.

Ma-card will be given per person in the family
Deputy Chief Minister and Health Minister Nitin Patel said that the state government is implementing "Ma-Amrutam Vatsalya" scheme to provide quick treatment to the citizens of the state in case of emergencies and serious illnesses. The decision has been made.

Maa card will be issued from government hospital
He added that Maa / Maa Vatsalya cards are now issued to citizens from government hospitals. Under the "Ayushman Bharat-Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana", "Maa" Yojana and "Maa Vatsalya" Yojana, the state government provides free health cover up to Rs. 5 lakh per family per annum to the families having fixed criteria. Beneficiaries with Maa-Maa Vatsalya card can avail treatment in any government / trust operated and private hospitals affiliated under the scheme.

5th card to 5 members in the family
According to the provisions of the Government of India, the beneficiaries of "Maa-Amrutam" and "Maa-Amrutam Vatsalya" schemes across the state were earlier given one card per family. Instead, each beneficiary will now be given a personal identity card. E.g. If there are five people in a family then before this there was only one card between five people. Now five members of the family will be given separate individual cards to facilitate treatment.

The treatment will continue on the old card as before
He added that at present, new cards have been issued in government hospitals, community and primary health centers in the state. So all the beneficiaries will be able to get new cards from these hospitals. The benefit on the old card will continue as before until the new card is issued. So that no one's treatment will stop. He added that every beneficiary of "Maa" scheme is now requested to get a new card immediately so that he can get treatment up to Rs 5 lakh free of cost as per requirement.
